EARL GREY
EARL GREY
The exact truth of how Earl Grey came about is a bit of a mystery. But the story goes that Earl Grey tea was a blend that was first made about in the 1800s and is named after the 2nd Earl of Gray who was the British prime minister at the time. Merchants transporting Chinese tea discovered their shipment was bland and had lost a lot of it’s flavour. They decided to intensify the flavour and add Bergamot oil - the oil from the rind of the bergamot orange. The result is smooth, gentle floral cup of tea that tastes best with milk.
Available in 80 gram or 130 gram canisters.
