CHINA, GU SHU BAI LU
Gu Shu Bai Lu is Old Tree white tea pressed into a pu erh style cake of 200 grams. Producers make this tea by harvesting leaves when they’re young and tender. After picking, leaves are wilted very lightly and dried - it’s a real artisan process, while still keeping intervention minimal. The tea is then pressed into a cake. This tea comes from Lincang, the Yunnan region of Southwest China. High elevations (2250 meters above sea level), high rainfall and cool climates year round help to create the classic white tea characteristics: fresh and delicate flavour, with a richness and depth of flavour. It’s a great alternative to herbal tisanes.
For the best results, brew at 80 degrees for 3 minutes. Use a dose of 2.1 grams for 100ml of water. Leaves can be infused multiple times.
