CHINA, LAPSANG SOUCHONG - BLACK TEA
$15.00
Lapsang Souchong is the world’s oldest black tea and this particular one is processed in the traditional method: one bud and two leaves are plucked, withered, rolled, oxidised, fried, re-rolled and then roasted again with pine needles to achieve it’s signature smoky character. This tea was grown in China, Wuyi, Fujian Provence at 984ft elevation. The tea bush varietal is Fuyun No. 6 with a natural farming approach. While it can be slightly polarising, if you’re a fan, you’re a die hard fan!
For best results, brew at 95 degrees for 2 minutes. Use a dose of 1.4 grams for 100 ml of water. Infuse twice. This tea is best enjoyed without milk.
